Whether you’ve tried acupuncture before or it’s your very first time with Traditional Chinese Medicine, you’re in for an equally rewarding experience.
To make your visit as productive as possible, please review the information below about pricing, cancellation and rescheduling policies, and insurance. If you are a new patient, read the information under “The First Visit” and download and complete the patient intake and consent forms at the right. Please bring these signed forms with you to your first appointment.
If you have questions about acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in general, we recommend reading the Questions & Answers section of our About Us page. If your question isn’t answered there, email us at email@example.com and we’ll try our best to help.
We recommend you wear loose, comfortable clothing to your session. While acupuncture doesn’t require any physical activity on your part, it always helps to be comfortable. Please have a small snack about thirty minutes before arriving. Also, we ask that you refrain from exercise for 2 hours before and after your visit.
Before your session, we’ll assess the areas in which you’d like improvement and determine the ways Traditional Chinese Medicine is right for you.
We’ll also familiarize you with the therapies of acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, moxabustion, cupping, and other remedies effective for your condition. Most importantly, we’ll answer any questions you may have about acupuncture and its role in a happier, healthier you.
During your session, you’ll find your acupuncture treatment very soothing. Many patients are surprised that the ultra-fine, disposable needles produce little sensation when placed. If any pain is felt, it is roughly the same as a mosquito bite (but without the itch afterward). The needles will be left in for approximately 30 minutes while you relax to soft music in a calming environment.
After your session, you may experience a feeling of deep relaxation. Welcome to a new approach in preventative health! Before you go, your acupuncturist will discuss future treatment goals with you based on your condition.

Making an Appointment
512Wellness offers self-service, online scheduling of your appointments. The schedule is automatically updated, so it reflects the most up-to-date openings available. Click the “Book Now” button at the right of this page to make an appointment.
If you are unable to use the online scheduling tool, email us and we will respond to you as soon as possible. Include a number in your message if you prefer to communicate by phone. You may also call (512) 762-6521 to schedule an appointment. It’s likely we will be with a patient, so please leave a message and we will return your call as quickly as we can.
Cancellations, No Call/No Shows, and Late Arrivals
Please give us at least 24 hours notice if cancelling or rescheduling an appointment to avoid a $25 rebooking charge. If you miss your appointment without notification (no call/no show), we reserve the right to charge you the fee for the full session.
If you are running a little late, please let us know. You may keep the appointment, but please understand that we may not be able to extend your session if other patients are scheduled after you. As a consequence, you may not receive the benefit of a complete session. In either case, the full fee will apply.
